Razer Nostromo Short Review

If you consider yourself a gamer and you use your PC for your finely tuned hobby, you will find the Razer Nostromo Gaming Keypad will be of much interest to quench your thirst for gaming supremacy. For those of you just getting into PC gaming, gaming keypads are used to replace the keypad that is already on your computer keyboard. These aren't really designed for fast action packed PC games.

No fancy numbers and letters giving it a technological intense name, just Razer Nostromo. All that's fancy in it can be found in the 16 button keypad and a wrist pad that is made to bring comfort with it's soft-touch rubberized design. Designed to keep your arm from tiring during the intense moments of your favorite PC game.

The 16 backlit hyperesponse gaming buttons are completely programmable with unlimited macro lengths to customize your gaming desires along with a quick response 8-way directional thumpad and scroll pad.

New Features

As you know technology is continuously evolving and Razer is fast to include that latest technology into it's products. You may be asking yourself, now what has this new gaming keypad got to offer that it's predecessor lacked?

Well the old one had the option of switching up to three different keymaps, the Nostromo keypad has the advantage of allowing you to switch instantly between 8 key maps as well as storing up to twenty gaming profiles while the old one was only capable of ten.

I have owned four of these keypads. The fact is they work great except for one very annoying trait. The most often used keys (movement keys) get to the point where they stick down and you have to tap them sharply to get them back up. The last two I bought (Te's) started sticking within a month of use. This has been a problem for some time now and i am very surprised it hasn't been solved. Surly the company is aware of the problem.
